GUIDELINES FOR WRITING ARTICLE

All articles received by us for publication in any of the Taxmann's Magazines are forwarded to our Editorial Department for processing. To enable us to expeditiously edit your articles and have an uniformity of style, we suggest that before sending your article to us for publication, you may please follow the following steps:

Heading of Article
•     Please give an apt heading to your article

Head note/General Summary
•     Please prepare a suitable Headnote/General Summary of article, which
reflects the contents & thrust of the article. The summary should contain the
summarized view of the author. The summary should be given at the
beginning of Article. Please see any of Taxman's/SCL's issue for a sample
of such summary.

Highlighting Important areas of Articles
•     Important areas of Articles be highlighted by hiliters. These areas shall be printed by us in quotes (See any issue of Chartered Accountants Today).

Capsule summary
•            Summaried view in point forms should be given in boxes or may be given at the end of article under the heading 'Summaried View'

Para’s headings
•     Each para should have a heading along with number allotted to para
•     Paras be divided into sub-paras with sub-headings & sub-para nos.

Conclusion
•     Give a conclusion at the end of the article summarizing the discussion and
the point made in the article

Law stated
•     Please ensure that the state of law mentioned in the article is the latest with reference to the statutory and judicial happenings. If any development takes place after the submission of your article while it is pending with us please write to us to return your article to you for updating/modifying.

•     Please mention your Phone/mobile number in the covering letter on which
you can be quickly contacted in case of a last minute query regarding
mistake/discrepancy in your article.

Photograph
•     Please enclose a recent pass port size (black and white as well as coloured) (7 x 5) photograph of yourself with the article.  Please mention your name on back of photograph.

Copyright

• It should be ensured that the article sent is original and the said Article must not infringe copyright of any person/institute, etc.
