New chairman for Central Board of Direct Taxes

A member of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), has taken over as the chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). He was earlier member-personnel and vigilance with the board, after having served with the income tax department in various capacities, including chief commissioner in Mumbai and Baroda, and as commissioner in Mumbai and Kolhapur. – www.indiaprwire.com
